UX/UI App Design
BirthCenter
BirthCenter is an app prototype with a target audience of pregnant people. From doing user research among my friends who are in different stages of the pregnancy process, I determined that there is the need for an app that not only keeps track of important articles and information for the various stages of pregnancy, but also one where users can input custom information--like all the providers on their birth team, from doctors to midwives, lactation consultants to prenatal yoga studios.
This app is designed to curate articles from around the web, providing a one-stop place for information to be easily accessed, and recalled. Pregnant people, and people with children are often stressed for time and energy, so having one place to gather all important information is key.
NatureSeek
NatureSeek is an app prototype made in Sketch. This app
The idea behind nature seek is getting kids outdoors by providing nature-themed scavenger hunts that will update considering the location of the user.
A family doing scavenger hunts at home in San Francisco will have a list of scavenger hunts that focus on CA flora and fauna. When the family travels to DC, the scavenger hunt list will update to reflect their new location.

When building this prototype I wanted to convey a sense of natureEasy enough for an older kid to navigate but still appealing to adults
simplicity and ease of use. The target audience is a family with children. The parent(s) already have a wrangle their kids--get the shoes on, make sure a snack is packed, apply sunscreen or put on a hat--so ease of use was a prime concern. The last thing busy parents need is a clunky app experience. The interface is designed to allow the family to make the most of their outdoor experience, by focusing on nature--not the app itself.
